The kitchen is still standing and no injuries.

Successful soap making!  We were obnoxiously pleased with ourselves and it was a lot of fun. We made a simple olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter soap and scented it with lavender essential oil.  It looks gorgeous!  OK maybe you had to be there…but we are really excited about it.  Now we have to wait 3 weeks for it to cure.  We are already planning on our next batch.  I think I am going to make some lotion tomorrow.

It is down to soft flurries now, the chickens were all huddled in the coop when I went out to shovel, I think they are as sick of this as I am.  With the exception of Ast the trouble maker, none of the cats have moved from the couch all day.  Even my seeds don’t seem to want to believe spring will ever come.

Now to put those lamb shanks in the oven.  Shetlands from http://emancipationacres.com/about-us/, I can’t wait.
